The Voice of Immigrants

The Voice of Immigrants revolves around the experiences of refugees and immigrants in general. The podcast aims to share compelling stories while acknowledging the inherent challenges of adapting to a new culture.

My Story

As an immigrant myself, after earning my Master’s degree, I sought to impact others by working with a resettlement agency by the grace of God. For nearly two years, I served as the Housing Coordinator and Program Coordinator for Refugee Cash Assistance, forming lasting friendships with some remarkable individuals. Later, I transitioned to the role of Case Manager Assistant for about nine months in a different county. Recognizing the need for professional growth, I decided to explore new opportunities.

In my journey, I’ve witnessed people in need of encouragement, resources, and guidance.
While I may not be an expert in working with immigrants, I do possess valuable insights on the subject. This podcast aims for authenticity, shedding light on the highs and lows immigrants face when embracing a new culture.

Our episodes will feature diverse stories—from those working in resettlement agencies, at the county to tales of refugees and immigrants of various ages who now call the US home. Additionally, we’ll hear from volunteers who have played a pivotal role in supporting immigrants. Interviews will be conducted in English, French, Ukrainian, Pashto, Dari, Spanish, and other
languages if possible. Having arrived in the US with ambitious dreams but uncertain about the path ahead, I encountered supportive individuals who guided me along the way. This podcast does not seek to blame but rather emphasizes the challenges and triumphs of assimilating into a new culture. We also aim to provide valuable resources for our audience.
